The Virginia Maritime Association is thrilled to announce that David White, VMA's Executive Vice President, and Will Fediw, VMA's Vice President of Industry and Government Affairs, will be moderators at the Sea to Land offshore wind Conference.
Fediw will be moderating the "Port and Logistical for construction and operation phases" panel on September 19, 2020.
The panel will address the need to match land-based infrastructure to suit vessel design and availability along with managing the logistical coordination as efficiently as possible to minimize deployment costs.
White will moderate on September 20, 2019 for the panel, "This side and just over the horizon: supply chain opportunities." As Dominion with Ørsted progress with the installation of the 2 X 6MW turbines, this session expects to unveil what is expected from the secondary and tertiary supply-chain businesses including Virginia based companies up to and including the end of installation in 2020, the operations and maintenance phase; and in preparing for the utility scale commercial lease area.
Sea-to-Land, to be held on September 19-20, 2020 in Norfolk, VA, is organized by The Business Network for Offshore Wind and Dominion Energy to bring together the supply-chain business community with federal and state government officials to accelerate Virginia’s inclusion of large-scale offshore wind within the state’s energy mix.
