NORFOLK | The Virginia Maritime Association (VMA) is proud to announce the first class of the Maritime Leadership Certification Program (MLCP). This class will graduate with a comprehensive understanding of the maritime supply-chain industry, a network of key industry stakeholders, and critical leadership skills.
“This program will give participants more exposure than what is in front of them day-to-day and will help develop relationships they would not be able to normally," said David White, Executive Vice President of the VMA. "These relationships, as they become leaders in our industry, will become vital to the success of the port.”
The first class is expected to graduate in May of 2020 during the VMA’s 100th-year maritime celebrations.
