The Virginia Maritime Association is the primary advocate for the interests of the maritime industry, developing solutions and opportunities for its membership and Virginia's ports. VMA leadership speaks directly with legislators, providing them the necessary education about our maritime supply chain industries and advocating for policies that will help protect port commerce and promote growth.

Membership in the VMA offers the opportunity to add your voice to our diverse committee structure. We are prepared to address any subject relating to port operations, waterborne commerce, and the supply chain.

Chapters:
Statewide Access

VMA membership stretches statewide, pulling members in from 5 different regions. Regional meetings are setup to make us more accessible outside of Hampton Roads, and all members are encouraged to participate in these meetings! Step outside your zone and meet a potential new business partner!

Trade Mission Opportunities:
Through the VITAL Program with VEDP | International

Through VEDP | Internationals VITAL program, VMA members are able to participate on trade missions. The program helps both new and experienced exporters enter new international markets by identifying new markets, developing market entry strategies and locating distributors and representatives for products or services.

Members are able to book meeting rooms (based on availability) within the VMA building located at 236 East Plume Street, Norfolk, VA 23510.

Standard membership includes one (1) designated representative. Additional representation is available at an additional cost per representative.

    7. The Young Maritime Professional membership level provides a 2-year discount on dues for maritime professionals 40 and under. This unique discount applies to representatives being added to a current company membership.
