Dear Valued Attendee,

It is our pleasure to invite you to the third annual 2006 Hampton Roads Maritime Association International Trade Symposium - a significant event on the East Coast for shipping and logistics professionals. This year's symposium is our best yet with two full days of events, including speakers and panels from some of the most respected shipper and maritime industry organizations in the country.

Our symposium's focus this year is on the "East Coast Wave", and how it is transforming the way the industry is thinking about shipping and logistics. Only two years ago people were looking west at the transpacific trade as the revolutionary route that would change the way shippers conducted business, but over the last year a wave of a new trade has emerged at a rapid pace on the transatlantic routes.

The "wave" is no longer just shipments from the United States back and forth to Europe, but it has expanded to include commerce extending to Southern Asia, India and the Middle East. Shippers flocking to this rediscovered route need to know its advantages and disadvantages. Discussions at this symposium will outline the realignment of the transatlantic trade and its impact on shippers, and how the booming South Asia and Indian markets are impacting ocean freight transportation to the U.S. East Coast. Shippers will also provide insight and analysis on how they have implemented efficient distribution services on the East Coast to accommodate the influx of traffic.

Keep checking back with our site for updates on panel chairmen and panelists. In addition to the panels and speakers, symposium attendees will have ample time to network with industry peers by attending the HRMA's 86th annual gala dinner and enjoying a round of golf at one of Virginia's best golf courses.

We encourage you to explore the rest of our website and download our symposium brochure. You can register on-line or by downloading and printing the registration sheet.

We strongly believe that your experience at the 2006 HRMA International Trade Symposium will provide you with applicable, useful knowledge for your business, as well as the opportunity to establish new relationships and strengthen existing ones with your peers. Please feel free to contact us anytime if you have questions or need assistance.

We look forward to seeing you in May.

Sincerely,
